Bored Tunnel

There's gotta be a joke in the title somewhere, but I can't seem to find it!

I walked to work this morning for the first time since the new RAV Line tunnel surfaced into granville street. I gotta say...I was friggin' amazed!

I haven't been paying to much attention to the construction plans, so I didn't even know that tunnelling had begun yet!

I can see the waterfront station tunnel boring machine exit pit from my office window. It's on granville street between cordova and pender. The pits are where the boring machine enters and exits the tunnel it makes. The pits are friggin' crazy deep.

Here's a shot of the waterfront station pit that I can see. It's currently about twice as deep as the picture shows.

Here's a pic of the pit on robson. I'd say it's currently about three times as deep as the picture, if not more!
