A couple days ago I was in Nesters Market scoping out their wide array of succulent red meats. I was planning on making some spaghetti, so I was pretty intent on the ground beef. However, there was a new option this time...a darker option...with less fat. I was intrigued, so I went over to the meet department guy and asked him what the ground buffalo tasted like. He said he liked it, and it was much heather because it was leaner and was high in iron.
I gave it a shot.
I wasn't terribly impressed.
I think it need to be marinated or have a hell of a good sauce.
Another upside is it's cheaper than regular cow ground beef...mmm...cow!
