Tea bagging no laughing matter

OK, well maybe to most people, but to me it is!
I don't think this clip was meant to be funny, but dammit, I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through.
Were they acting? Can you say "tea bagging" without cracking up?
I'm a bad person :P

$$ Housing $$

So I was discussing the housing market with a realestate developer friend and he set me this Survey to read.

It basically tries to figure out why many of the housing markets are becoming so unaffordable. According to the survey, their definition of an affordable housing market is one in which an average house will cost below 3 times the average household income. They call this number the median multiple. Vancouver has a median multiple of 6.6 making it the 15th most expensive city to buy realestate in. It suggests one of the main reasons for the world's realestate markets are so crazy is government regulations. They say strict regulation is artificially reducing the supply of land. They believe low interest rates have nothing to do with it as New Zealand has been increasing their rates steadily over the last few years with no effect on the market.

I asked my development friend if he thought Vancouver's governmental regualtions were stiffling the supply of new housing. He admitted there are a lot of hoops to jump through, but didn't think they were that great. I was not surprised since I haven't heard of too many people complaining about regulations. I figured Vancouver's outrageous market was due to our geography. Our available land is blocked from the north, west and south. He tended to agree.

I thought the article was interesting, and had a lot of good statistics, but I didn't think it applied to Vancouver as it does most other cities. I think Vancouver will follow the footsteps of San Francisco which has a similar geographical makup. San Fran is up at a median multiple of 9.3 and going strong.
The difference between San Fran and Vancouver's multiple is 2.7 and vancouver's average income is 56.5K. Does that mean we can easily see the average house increasing by 152K without a market correction?

Album of the Hour

Discovered the Bunkka album by Paul Oakenfold awhile back. It got some sweet tracks on it.

Check the samples out.

Choice tracks:
Starry Eyed Surprise
Ready Steady Go
Get Em Up

Also sweet-assed is Disturbed - Land of Confusion.
It's my new volleyball warmup track, taking over from Saliva - Your Disease.
Oh yeah, and while you're on that Saliva page, Click Click Boom is also a pretty wicked song.

So after the big job change, I thought I should commemorate it with something.
I'm not very creative...

I'm Back Baby!

That's right people, I'm back, and just as boring as ever!
I feel the need to explain my haitus. Wait, no I don't.
Scotto had nothing to say. Scotto still doesn't really have anything to say, but he's gonna make some shit up anyway.
Actually, you can probably blame rugged for my reappearance. I decided to check out my blog and noticed his comment from Nov 29 "Yo MacBitch! What happened to the blogging? I'm going through withdrawl here!"
So here it is rugged, back by popular demand!

For those who need some back fiiller, here's what's been shakin' for the last while:
Working lots....went to do a contract for Nike down in Portland around the time that rugged posted his comment. Was down there until about mid-january. Gave my notice to Blast, and my last day of working for 'the man' was Feb 3.

Now I'm trying to get a company started, working out of an office in my Dad's house. That's right peeps, I can now work in my underwear if I want...and I'm on track to becoming poor again.

For those interested, it's a web company. The product will bring world peace, discover alien life, and cure hemroids. It's still in development, so I'm not too keen on posting more details...you'll have to email me if you want them :)

I guess I'll start posting about the type of underwear I'm wearing to work, and how much money I'm losing. Yeah, sweet. Maybe I'll make one of those counter's like on Liberal Bitch's blog where it counts the cost of the Iraq war, except it will count down the contents of my savings account :P

Sweet, I like it!
