Accepted
I went to see Accepted yesterday. (The movie website is friggin' annoying...better turn down your sound).
I figured it was gonna be totally lame, or pretty decent. It turned out to be pretty damn funny! Those who haven't been to university or lived in rez might not find it as funny...but whatev.
The big fat guy has some sweet lines.

Band of Brothers
For the past couple days I've been watching Band of Brothers while waiting for stuff to compile. I've seen all the episodes before, but thought I'd do it again. It's a wicked show!
Danno would like it ;) Actually, if I know Dan at all, he's probably already watched it several times...
It's really well shot. I'm impressed they can make such a lengthy small screen series that's still up to big screen Saving Private Ryan quality.
I guess HBO has deep pockets...
The Product
So after many long nights of brain freezes (mostly from slurpies), I finally finished a demo for appspin. I made a scaled down version of craigslist to show the sorts of functionality I can generate quickly. It took about a week to generate the demo site, which I will post a link to a little later. Gonna be showing it off to a VC on monday hopefully. Maybe I'll be able to make some friggin' money again ;)
Here's a prime example of murphy's law though. My server has been running fine for the past 2 months. However, as of 4 days ago, it keeps randomly shutting down...right before the time I actually need it. WTF? So it looks like I'll be showing the demo on my laptop.
