A couple days ago I was in Nesters Market scoping out their wide array of succulent red meats. I was planning on making some spaghetti, so I was pretty intent on the ground beef. However, there was a new option this time...a darker option...with less fat. I was intrigued, so I went over to the meet department guy and asked him what the ground buffalo tasted like. He said he liked it, and it was much heather because it was leaner and was high in iron.
I gave it a shot.
I wasn't terribly impressed.
I think it need to be marinated or have a hell of a good sauce.
Another upside is it's cheaper than regular cow ground beef...mmm...cow!

There's gotta be a joke in the title somewhere, but I can't seem to find it!
I walked to work this morning for the first time since the new RAV Line tunnel surfaced into granville street. I gotta say...I was friggin' amazed!
I haven't been paying to much attention to the construction plans, so I didn't even know that tunnelling had begun yet!
I can see the waterfront station tunnel boring machine exit pit from my office window. It's on granville street between cordova and pender. The pits are where the boring machine enters and exits the tunnel it makes. The pits are friggin' crazy deep.
Here's a shot of the waterfront station pit that I can see. It's currently about twice as deep as the picture shows.
Here's a pic of the pit on robson. I'd say it's currently about three times as deep as the picture, if not more!
This is the size of the tunnel that's now coming out of the graville street pit:
