oh my god. it just took me 3 1/2 hours to do my taxes. maybe i'm stupid, i don't know, but it's the first time i've done them on my own (if you can call phoning my mom like five times on my own). i might have to invest in some quicktax next year. that was excruciating!

everyone is making lots of plans for the weekend, and guess what i have to do? that's right, it's marking time. f-u-n. it's the last bit of hardcore-ness for a long while though, so it'll feel really good to be done it. gotta oversee an early exam tomorrow, then we're going for dinner with HonC before he leaves town. the real exam is friday night, so i'll have to go help with the end of the exam and then start the marking fest when i get home. wish me luck!
man, my fig tree's looking so good! and lots of other things are sprouting, i'll have to post some pics once it gets sunny again!
anyway, that's it for now.

I've been a big blob since last weekend when I curled Friday night, which was really fun, and then went biking on Saturday. I did the whole North Road trail, but my aspirations of biking back up were quickly dashed...I guess I'm still not in good enough shape. One of my calves has been really sore and there's a mysterious bruise on it, though, so I think I must've banged my leg somehow. It's not serious at all, just annoying.
We're off to Vernon tomorrow morning to hang with Scott's fam. Jules would be so proud of my packing! Almost all of it in my one big backpack. Some other odds and ends, shoes, my laptop don't go in, but it's a definite improvement.
I found the greatest sandals today at Brentwood! I didn't buy them though. They were Rockports, but they were at some oulet store that looked like a Payless, but with more expensive shoes. They just fit, but the colour I wanted, one of the shoes had been in the display, and since they're suede, it was way more worn than its pair, so they didn't match anymore. The lady said that she could give me a discount, but I figured they're an investment pair, so I should probably find a pair in better shape. Will have to keep an eye out. They were so comfy, the soles were suede... mmm....
Anyway, yeah. Not much else to report.

I just released a book into the wild for the first time. For those who are confused, go to Bookcrossing.com and it explains everything. It makes the world a library, people pick up and drop off books anywhere for the next person to pick up or stumble upon it. It was so exciting finding just the right spot and time to leave it. I looked for a couple that were supposed to have been left up at school recently, but someone must've already snapped them up!
Curling tonight...Geog vs Earth Science grads...little do they know we've got a pro on our side. mwahahahaha!
