i don't like dogs anymore

As you can see on bitch's blog, we have two labs with us right now, cause we're dog sitting for his boss until Friday. And I thought I liked dogs, but now I don't. One of them wouldn't sleep, and after I got them to go to sleep finally at around 2am, she got up about every hour until 7am or so when we finally gave up, and barked until I went out and made her go back to bed. Then, after going pee and having breakfast, they finally quieted down and slept like babies. WHAT'S WITH THAT???

I'm not so sure I want a dog anymore. Or kids for that matter.

BAH.

herbs

Two of my herbs, the chives and lavender, survived the winter! Well, the basil and parsley may have, but they disappeared right before I brought my gardening stuff up to the new place--not sure if it was some misguided weeding by the landlord (they did LOOK dead) or wildlife damage. Either way, they disappeared, so I will never know.

Anyway, the chives--which were a clump that Penny had weeded out of the garden at the end of last summer, then I tossed them into one of my planter boxes to see how they'd do--made a surprise appearance a couple weeks ago, and are budding already!

The lavender has come out of its dormant state, and with the mostly great weather lately, is showing tons of new growth already.

The thing I don't get is that it has never made flowers, I have been thinking it's some kind of non-flowering variety, but the tag shows flowers!

Maybe it needs more sun or something?

Incase you were wondering, Figgy's buds are greening too...will take some photos when there is more to see.

camera-crazed

Well the apartment's not quite in tip-top shape, so no photos yet (still have to ship out the old bed that's filling the dining room)...but to tide you over, a great big photo-entry!

First, 2 of the super-coolest things I've knitted over the past many months (though each one didn't actually take that long, I was just lazy about posting pictures!)

The infamous vegan fox stole! Pattern from knitty.com

And a close-up of his cute little face!

And my more recently completed discman cozy, also a pattern from knitty.com:

Close-ups of the headphones that I love because they look like earmuffs, and the discman cozy:

Today I went and picked up my You Grow Girl book that was waiting at the post office, how exciting! It's by the gal who does YouGrowGirl.com

Ooooh, so much exciting stuff!

And now, I'm tired of uploading and getting very hungry, so you'll have to wait for the rest!
