Been busy at work since I handed in my thesis (again), so I thought I'd post some photos of the new spring-y stuff I've been working on for City Girl Designs!
Organic cotton lovelies:
The new and improved City Girl Pouch!

New bag: The Spring Bag:

A new, extremely cute tea cozy:

And last, but certainly not least, felt stuff!
Bright coloured felt flower bookmarks:

I "heart" veggie and fruit patches like this:

Plus, some exciting news, Room6 in Deep Cove is considering selling my knitting needle rolls! I just have to bring by some samples when I get some more fabric in and make them up! Yay!
Go me!
Ok, I'm sure most of you have come across a link for the bouncy ball commercial in the last little while... But just incase you haven't, go to this site and click on one of the links on the bottom right--I would strongly advise you wait a little longer and watch the extended version, it is much better and worth the wait.
Also, incase you're curious, yes, they really bounced all those balls down a street in SF, you can see the making of it on YouTube.
Anyway, there's this sort of parody of the commercial done by the Graffiti Research Lab, using LED throwies... to find out what LED throwies are and how to make them, go here and to watch the video of them in action, go here.
Fucking rad, huh?
ps. Incase you're curious, the music is Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez.
As a reward for all the super hard work I've been doing, Scott and I went out for an afternoon on the town today!
First, we went to check out Spend on Trend, an indie clothes, accessories, etc. showcase over at the Main St. Heritage Hall, which by the way is a pretty cool old building. The show wasn't huge, but there was tons of really cool stuff, and it would be pretty easy to spend a LOT of money there. If you're in the area, it's still on tomorrow till 5pm!
I bought a necklace pendant from SoulFlower, and totally indulged myself in a really cute top from Raspberry Ann, who is a designer from the Island. It is like this one, but in sort of a raspberry red colour with little cream polkadots.
It was kinda pricy, but it is really cute, and who can resist spending a little more when you know it's going to a local small business? The gal who makes this stuff, who I gather from the website is called Raspberry Ann (?) was really sweet and helped me figure out how to get this thing on with all the crazy lacing on the back.
Next, we headed over to the Bau-Xi Gallery on Granville, where there is an art show on by a guy I went to elementary school with (I was in the same grade as his younger brother). His name is Jude Griebel, and his art is really cool,

there are lots of photos of it on the gallery's website, and a review (where I found out about it) on the Beyond Robson blog.
Finally, we walked around a little and happened upon Meinhardt Fine Foods, this totally crazy high-end grocery store, which we went and browsed around in and got some tasty treats!
Whew, I'm both wiped, and refreshed for another round with my thesis!
