i skied!
i skied this afternoon! it was really fun and i didn't fall... i think i'm pretty much as good as i was last time i skied, which was sometime around 1992. not bad for not having skied for about 15 years!
i think i'm going to have to spend some time in the hot tub tonight though, i'm already getting sore!

a new year, a new...
SNOWSTORM! apparently we live on a mountain or something...
we are officialement snowed in today! i'm glad we really stocked up the food as soon as we got back, there's a good foot of snow now, and it's still coming on strong. it's so crazy living up here!
i know it's been a while since i blogged, so i'll just do a quick update--i obviously survived the teeth recovery. i felt like total shit for about a week and was in pain, and after that, it got better quickly... until i got thrush (yeast) in my mouth, ew, and had to go on this mouth rinse for that, and a few days later got a pretty bad gum infection where one of the teeth was pulled, and so had to go on antibiotics for that. i had four bottles of yellow goo in my backpack when we flew to saskatoon, and lets just say one of the airport security yahoos wasn't pleased. but i'm done all the yellow goo, and am just doing my best to keep all my food from getting stuck in the pits now and the pits are apparently very hungry.
the holidays were pretty fun--first half in saskatoon, scott's first christmas in sask, christmas dinner at kirsti's like old times, curling and a fondue party at our house on the 27th was really fun too. then on to vernon, visiting scott's grandparents in penticton, hanging with the hadfields on new years, working on ross' crazy simpsons kalidoscope jigsaw puzzle, and becoming addicted to online boggle (warning, do not start playing if you don't have time to waste!)
the flight back from the okanagan was the only not so good part--lotsa psychotic travellers and security guards, and the worst turbulence EVER. i was chowing down the gravol like crazy, and scott just sat there and gripped the barf bag, but managed not to yak. we had to hang out at the airport for a good while before the queasiness subsided enough to make the drive home.
in other recent news, scott quit his job wednesday! we went out for dinner with some friends to celebrate. now he's going to keep doing grad school and work hardcore on hatch web studio (our business), so we can get serious about getting some contracts. need a website? let me know!
other than that, i just had my second appointment with a naturopath, which is going well, and is interesting. we'll see how it goes, i'm taking all kinds of weird crap! but if it helps, then great!
